| Description | Internet has been suspended in Upper Siang as the Siang Indigenous Farmers Forum and the Affected Area Youth Association, with the support of various student unions and community-based organisations, enforce a 36-hour bandh in parts of the Siang and entire Upper Siang districts from 5 am this morning. The shutdown was called to press for the release of individuals detained in connection with the ongoing agitation against the proposed Siang Upper Multipurpose Project and to demand the suspension of proposed pre-feasibility report activities. |
