Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019 in India led to wide-scale protests all over the country which led to a number of internet shutdowns. The capital city of India, New Delhi saw its first internet shutdown on 19th December 2019 as well. The entire country was rocked with internet shutdowns which led to crippling of economic activities, educational services as well as healthcare.
