| Description | Ahead of the verdict in the rape case against Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, mobile Internet services were suspended in Haryana on 24th August, 2017 for 72 hours as a precautionary measure anticipating violent backlash from the Dera followers. The ban was further extended till 29th August, 2017. While the internet was restored in other parts, it continued to remain suspended in seven 'sensitive' districts of Haryana till 30th August, 2017. |
