Ahead of the verdict in the rape case against Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, mobile Internet services were suspended in Chandigarh on 24th August, 2017 for 72 hours as a precautionary measure anticipating violent backlash from the Dera followers.
